Amber KenneyAmber Kenney, MPT, MTC, CKTP Owner, graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1997 with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. She has since acquired numerous other physical therapy certifications including her Manual Therapy Certification in 2004 from the University of St. Augustine, a Certificate of Recognition of Clinical Excellence in 2005, Clinical Instructor of Clinical Education in 1999 and is certified in Kinesio Taping.

She has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1994 and an active member of the Florida Physical Therapy Association since 1999.

She participates in competitive athletics including body building, triathlons and off-road bicycling. She has won numerous 1st, 2nd and top ten placements in competitive events nationwide. When not practicing her profession she enjoys time with her husband.

Her personal beliefs about her profession are captured in this quote: "As a physical therapist, I believe that comprehensive rehabilitative care, patient conditioning and patient education are the most important keys in returning patients back to their normal activities of daily living and preventing future injuries and impairments."

Joshua SchmittJoshua G. Schmitt, DPT, graduated from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in April of 2009 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2005 at Louisiana Tech University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Promotion.

When not practicing the art of physical therapy he enjoys time with his wife, who is pursuing a career in physical therapy. He also enjoys playing with his three dogs, exercising, surfing, hunting and watching anything sports related.

His personal beliefs about his profession are captured in this quote: "Physical Therapy is a healing art form that is found within the medical model. I believe that physical therapy should be individualized to meet each patient's specificity. Here at Physical Therapy Works patients are always treated based on his/her individual case, therefore the patient will never feel like he/she is just a number".
